Reopening of the Municipal Art Gallery in Chania with two exhibitions: 20th July

On 20th July the Municipal Art Gallery of Chania reopens to the public, presenting two separate exhibitions:

– at the Municipal Gallery of Chania (98-102 Halidon) the exhibition “Works from the Permanent Collection”  (more than 80 paintings and engravings of the permanent collection).
Opening hours:
Monday – Friday: 10:00-14:00 and 19:00-22:00
Saturday: 10.00-14.00

– at  Giali Tzamisi, Venetian Harbour, Chania:
20th July – 20th August,19.00 – 23.00, video-installation of Marianna Strapatsaki “The Ghosts of the Mediterranean or The Reflections of the Past”.

In addition to these two exhibitions the Municipal Gallery will present Nikos Giavropoulos’ art installation “6 Murders in times of Peace”, in co-organization with the Municipal Port Fund of Chania.
From 25th August until 25th September.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
