Press Release – PROHIBITION: no gatherings of children/pupils at school premises (issued by Municipality Kissamos)!

Municipality Kissamos – press release  at 13.50 today:

“The school authorities want to inform you that they have taken all the necessary steps to keep all the school areas closed, also  outside the school premises by placing a padlock on the front doors and closing the electricity supply for the buildings.
However, there has recently been a large gathering of underage children in the backyard of schools, which is quite alarming for the spread of coronavirus.
We ask parents to restrict their children at home and convey their sense of individual responsibility following the urgent measures to address the negative consequences of the COVID-19 coronavirus that have already been announced by the government.” (Secretary, Municipality Kissamos)

Lydia

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
