Morning Talk “The Battle of Crete” – Vamos 10th March

The Battle of Crete 1941:
Sean Johnstone will give a talk covering the key points of the 10 day battle, which next year commemorates its 80 year anniversary. The focus will mainly be on the Maleme & Hania areas where the battle was won & lost. He will present anecdotal accounts from veteran friends & also from literary sources, and show some contemporary artefacts.
Audience participation and Q & A are welcome throughout the talk.

Sean Johnstone is currently launching the Crete Commemoration Committee, a group formed to keep the memory of the battle of Crete alive for future generations. Significantly his takings from this talk will go towards that project.
