Two days of bilingual events, poetry readings, creative workshops for adults and children, and photography exhibition.
The Chania International Poetry Group welcomes the prize-winning English poet and playwright Alyson Hallett and Greek poet/photographer Kyriakos Syfiltzoglou, and invites you to attend the 1st International Poetry Festival of Chania, including workshops for children and adults as well as a photography exhibition.

Photography exhibition: 2nd – 7th September 19.00 – 21.00

The Festival brings the two poets into a creative dialogue over two days of bilingual events (English – Greek):
poetry readings, creative workshops for adults and children, and a parallel photography exhibition entitled ‘Possibility of blood’, by Kyriakos Syfiltzoglou.
Syfiltzoglou’s photographs explore the aesthetics of seemingly worthless materials transformed into poetic fossils through the gaze of the poet in his pilgrimage through deserted houses of the area of Drama in northern Greece.
