Concert: The Aurelius Boys’ Choir -22nd June
Within the framework of a European cultural exchange programme The Aurelius Boys’ Choir, one of Germany’s most important boys’ choirs, is performing in Chania.

The Programme covers ecclesiacistal and secular choral music, from Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Jesus abide my joy” to the very lively gospel “Sing, sing, sing” by Louis Prima as well as international folk songs.
Various conductors have been conducting the choir, such as Claudio Abbado, Herbert Blomstedt, Pierre Boulez, Sylvain Cambreling, Carl St. Clair, Michael Gielen and Krzysztof Penderecki.
Among the most important orchestras they collaborated with are the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, the resident orchestra of the Berlin State Opera and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
The name of the Aurelius Choir refers to an old patron of the Calw Monastery
