Cinema Night: “Kazantzakis”- Kolymbari 4th May

The Orthodox Academy in Kolymbari invites you to the cinema night on Saturday, 4th May at 18.00:

The film Kazantzakis (2017), directed by Ioannis Smaragdis, is shown in the new Auditorium of the Orthodox Academy.Kazantzakis - Kolymbari

Ioannis Smaragdis was born in Crete in 1946 and studied film in Greece and Paris.
He appeared in 1972 with his short film Two Three Things… which received the first prize in the Athens Festival and a Special Mention in the Montreal Film Festival.
Yannis Smaragdis has taught Mass Media courses at the University of Athens and  film direction as well as  screenwriting at film schools in Greece.
He has published two books: Poetic Geography (1995) and Cavafy (1997)

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And six years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
