“Let’s do it” 2019 Beach Clean, 7th April

The Clean Beaches team will join in the national beach cleaning action “Let’s do it Greece”, this Sunday, 7th April. We’ll be returning to Korfalonas to continue cleaning there! There are many groups joining in all, around Kissamos and Chania, and of course on a wider scale around Crete and Greece too.

So wherever you are, go down to your local beach or nature spot and pick up some plastic!
Whether you can manage 2 minutes or 2 hours, the best action is one that we all participate in!

The cleaning action in Kissamos will begin on Sunday morning, April 7 at 10.00 am (starting time) and the points to be cleared (with meeting points and partners) so far are:

1. Chrisoskalitissa, Apsanisa, White Lake beach cleaning in collaboration with the Cultural Association of Plokamiana, the Cultural Association of Livadia-Amygdalokefali & “1 Grammario Drasis”
Start Time 10.00am – Meeting Point: Livadia.

2. Kissamos Stadium & childrens playground, cleaning in cooperation with the 1st & 2nd Elementary Schools of Kissamos.
Start Time 10.00am – Meeting point: childrens playground near the stadium.

3. Kissamos Mavros Molos beach cleaning in collaboration with the 3rd Elementary School of Kissamos.
Start Time 10.00am – Meeting point: Mavros Molos beach.

4. Kissamos Livadia beach cleaning in cooperation with the volunteer corps of Rescuers & Lifeguards of Kissamos.
Start time 10.00am – Meeting point: Naya Beach Bar.

5. Korfalonas beach cleaning in cooperation with the Clean Beaches Volunteer Team.
Start time 10.00am – Meeting point: Korfalonas beach (near Mesogeio apartments)

6. Kissamos harbor, deep sea cleaning with volunteer group of divers and the Volunteer corps of Rescuers & Lifeguards of Kissamos.

7. Platanos village cleaning in collaboration with the Platanos Creative Landscaping Association.
Start time 10.00am – Meeting point: office of the Dimiorgiko Exoraistiko syllogo Platanou.

8. Elos, Limni and Louchi villages cleaning by the Cultural Association “The Renaissance”.
Start Time 11.00am – Meeting point: Elos square.

9. Nopigia beach, beach cleaning in collaboration with the voluntary group of residents & the Hunting Association of Kissamos.
Start Time 11.00am – Meeting point: Porphyra tavern.

10. Kissamos Municipal Stadium Beach, in cooperation with the Kissamos Youth Association (NE.KI).
Start Time 10.00am – Meeting point: Galini hotel.

11. Gramvoussa beach front, in collaboration with Gramvoussa Cultural Association.
Start Time 10.00am – Meeting point: The children’s playground (Viglia beach area).

12. Fishing port of Kissamos, in collaboration with the Association to Promote Kissamos “Gramvousa”.
