Exhibition “Pieces for Peace”: children painting for peace – Chania 6th February

You are cordially invited to support the inauguration, the exhibition and the workshops for children inspired by the vision of peace.
The exhibition will travel and grow constantly to include works by children from the 193 countries that make up the United Nations.

Pieces for Peace Children’s Painting Exhibition with works from 82 countries of the world and the World Peace theme produced by CITYarts – hosted by the Region of Crete – the Municipality of Platanias, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Chania – Olive Tree and the Match More Art Gallery. Selected works by pupils and students of Crete will be introduced to the exhibition

WHEN: Wednesday, 6 February at 19.00, exhibition opening
The exhibition will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and will last until Saturday, April 13, 2019. Editing: Tsipi Ben-Haim, Dr. Konstantinos V. Proimos and Ioannis N. Archontakis.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
