Beach Cleaning in Korfalonas, 20th January

All the recent storms have left an impressive mark in many ways.

One of them is very visible on the beach: a reminder of the mountains of plastic that come down from the rivers, float around in the sea and often end up on the shore.

We are meeting on Sunday 20th January in the morning at 11:00 am, on Korfalonas beach, near Mesogeio taverna by the old olive factory.

There will be plenty of rubbish for everyone, especially around the river mouths. We will probably be picking up big parts and pieces of plastic.

After the cleaning, we will have some food together. Everyone welcome to bring a dish or drinks or contribution in kind for the generous beach cleaners’ appetite.

We will probably also discuss Kissamos Carnival 2019 participation, if you’re interested in the carnival you should come!
