The “Kissamos Beach Cleaning Group” started their regular activities for the season 2018 in May.

WHEN: every first Saturday morning at 09.00 and third Sunday afternoon at 18.00
Changes will be announced.
We start in May: Saturday 5th May and Sunday 20th May
Kάθε πρώτο Σάββατο του μήνα στις 09.00 π.μ. και κάθε 3η Κυριακή στις 6.00 μ.μ.
WHERE: at one of the beaches between Kissamos Bay and Nopigia.
We will inform you in time where exactly we are meeting , so watch this space pls. or send us an email.
At the moment we are checking out which of the beaches needs our efforts most on 5th May.

We are a team of volunteers, residents of Kissamos, who love nature and want to see our beaches cleaner. We don’t just say it. We make it happen! The team covers all beaches in Kissamos bay, from Viglia to Nopigia, and often ventures also beyond, to Kolymbari and Tavronitis.We also co-operate with the Municipality.
The beach cleaning is also a chance to have a look around, check out sea turtle tracks, birds, river estuaries, driftwood, shells, pebbles, and all the nice natural things that the shores have to offer.
Normally the beach cleaning ends after about one or one and a half hour with a drink by the seaside.
