The Representation of the Cretan Wedding is an event that has become an institution in Kissamos.

Numerous folklore elements are included in the representation of this mysterious ritual that begins at the “House of the Bridegroom”, who then takes the bride from her home, on the most beautifully adorned horse.

The wedding procession starts at the Town Hall of Kissamos, crosses the historic centre of Kissamos, and then ends up at Tzanakaki Square.
All dance groups of Kissamos and the Association of Friends of Georgian Horses “Kissamitika” participate.
