International Photo Festival in Chania 28th August – 5th September

The Chania International Photo Festival (Cip Festival) is the first  International Photo Festival  in Chania! The festival will feature the work of 350 artists from 72 countries from around the world. Many photographers whose works are exhibited are travelling to Chania  to be with us at the opening night.

WHEN: 28th August – 5th September, daily 11:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 22:00.
OPENING: 28th August 19.0028 August CIP Festival
WHERE: Mediterranean Centre of Architecture -Grand Arsenal, Venetian Harbour, Chania

The photos to be presented were gathered through an international competition held in May 2018 and the photographers submitted their works to one of the 16 categories nominated by the organizers.
The exhibited works were selected by an international committee of photographers .
The great response of international photographers for participation promises that the festival will be established as a major international photography event worldwide.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
