CONTEST: “Best Garden – Best Balcony”, Chania, entries 15th – 25th May

The Environment and Green Department of the Municipality of Chania,  celebrating the World Environment Day on June 5, 2018, is organizing a contest for the “Best Garden” and the “Best Balcony” in the Municipality of Chania.

Participants will be given a voucher to buy herbs  from the network of affiliated stores.
A committee will  evaluation the gardens and  balconies and the awards and prizes will be handed over on Tuesday, 5th June at the central event of the Municipality in the  Municipal Cinema “Garden”.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
