23 March View from the Bridge
Arthur Miller’s “View from the Bridge”

This play by the American playwright is set in 1950s America, in an Italian American neighborhood near the Brooklyn Bridge.
This is a work based on real events that Miller told a lawyer, which reveals in the most dramatic way how expensive the price of freedom is.

Miller said that he heard the basic account that developed into the plot of A View from the Bridge from a lawyer, who related it to him as a true story.

Miller writes about the human condition. He holds a mirror and shows us, through the behavior of other people, how we behave.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
