Tsikoudia Festival in Chania 14th October

The traditional Tsikoudia Festival, organized by the Psiloritis Dancing Club of Chania, the Municipality of Chania and KEPPEDIK KAM, will take place on

14th October, 19.00 at the the square next to Giali Tzamisi, Old Harbour, Chania.

With a  traditional ‘Kozani’  as the traditional distiller is called in Greek, still used in some villages today,  with music, dances and songs, the custom of raki distilling  is revived.

Live music by Giorgos Triantafyllou, lyra and Manolis Chrysocherakis, lute. The folklore dancing group  Psiloritis will present traditional dances from Crete and the rest of Greece.

Traditional delicacies and tsikoudia will be offered.

Free entrance.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute.
