“Zorba’s Homeland”: concert, short films and dance (M. Theodorakis cinematic music), Stavros 21st August
At the beach of Stavros, a night full of music, dances and screenings of films dedicated to the film “Zorba the Greek” in the natural setting of the film, in Stavros.
The event is dedicated to the cinematic music of Mikis Theodorakis and organized by the the “Friends of Mikis Theodorakis” Association
21 August 2017 at 21.00.

In Zorbas’s footsteps : the traditional Dance Club of Akrotiri ” KAGIALES”
The occasion is the fact that in 1964, on the Cross were filmed scenes from the famous Oscar-winning film “Zorbas the Greek”, starring Anthony Quinn. On the beach of Stavros, and against the backdrop of the characteristic hill of the area, Zorbas danced the famous Greek Syrtaki in the music of the Greek music composer, Mikis Theodorakis.
