Exhibition “Agricultural August” with music, folklore dance groups and local products, Chania 25th – 31st August

Agricultural  exhibition with  a diverse range of products. Come and taste Cretan quality products and enjoy the variety of cultural events like music and traditional dance performances.

WHEN: 25th – 31st August, daily from 10am to 10pm.
  25th August: 20.00 opening with Risitiko songs, live music by Stelios Bikakis & 25-31 August Agricultural August Chaniaband, performances of folklore dance groups.
 Visitors are offered Cretan delicacies by MAICH chef Ioannis Apostolakis.

29th August 20.30: “The Cretan Jazz Project” with Maria Manousaki (violin), Spiros Koutsorinakis (guitar) and Nektarios Kostakis. A blend of Cretan music and American jazz.

Co-organized by the Municipality of Chania, the Region of Crete – Regional Section of Chania and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chania.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
