Photography Exhibition Women – Work – Maternity Chania 10th -12th June

The Women’s Association of Chania organized a photography exhibition following a photography contest in May:
photographies within the framework of the campaign by the Women’s Federation of Greece for  women’s  rights today concerning  maternity, work and leisure.

WHEN: 10th  – 12th June, 6.00 – 9.00 pm. Exhibition opening 10th June 8.00pm

“In the context of this campaign we want to outline the reality of the lives of women from all kinds of backgrounds – working class, self-employed, employed, farmers,  unemployed, working flexible hours, and also the topic of  maternity is included.

We want to call on women to discuss and claim the lives they deserve by exploiting the opportunities and make them reality”.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
