Cleaning the beach around Kissamos Festival

On Saturday morning, the Kissamos Beach Cleaning team met to clean the beaches around the Kissamos Festival, by the stadium.

A small team gathered and picked the litter all around the lifeguard tower and beyond, in front of the stadium and then past two hotels. Meanwhile, some other volunteer cleaners did a sweep on the Western part of Korfalonas and on Livadia beach. The Northerly wind was blowing strong and most rubbish was found around by the festival stalls or in the bushes behind the beach. The info signs in the area were all there, a good reminder for the good deeds.

After a couple of hours work and a few full big bin bags, the two teams met in the middle for a drink.
