Musical Show: travelling through time, a trip into Crete’s past Chania 25th July

The Folk Group of Chania honours the history of Crete, attempting to highlight the work of the ancestors.
In this modular performance that travels through time, from the past
until modern times unfolding stories of the people,  the manners and customs of Cretan civilization are shown.
Personalities who influenced the history and culture of the island, like Eleftherios Venizelou or Nikos Kazantzakis, come to life.
The musical show is about about friendship, love, war, the wonders of life and death, all the mysteries man has been seeking answers to over centuries.
Songs, dances and serenades of Crete, a show about  the Cretans’  bravery and the beauty of Crete.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
