New postponement: Feast of Saint Theodore on Island of Theodorou – Monday 13th June

New postponement of event: according to the Forest Authority, Chania, the Feast of Saint Theodore will take place on
MONDAY, 13th June.
Originally this event was to take place on Wednesday  8th June , but it will now take place next Monday,  13th June.
The celebration was re-scheduled due to weather conditions and the Municipality of Chania announced that it would  take place on Saturday.
But the Forest Department of Chania, the ” manager of the Theodorou island area”, said that “after the cancellation last Wednesday, 8th June, the feast will be held on  Monday  13th June ‘.

According to the Forestry Authority   access of visitors  is allowed  as far as  the area of the church from 7: 30p.m to 12m.
Throughout the ceremony and until the withdrawal of the public,  rangers will be present along the path.
A first aid station and a small emergency  boat  will be organized.  The Forest Department asks visitors to observe the instructions of the guards, to remain on the site where  access is allowed.

NOTE:
Also during the same hours boats will depart from the port of Platanias.

Fee:
ticket for the transportation  to and from the island is 5,00 € , children under 12 years are free.
