Feast of Saint Theodore on Island of Theodorou – re-scheduled for 11th June

Re-scheduled for Saturday 11th June due to sea conditions!!

The island  of Theodorou is accessible only once a year! This year it is June 8th.
This  event is a chance to get to know this beautiful island with great ecological significance and its important role in saving the protected Cretan wild goat, as well as citizens of Chania and pilgrims.
The  annual feast of Saint Theodore on the island of Theodorou – opposite Agia Marina  –  is organized by the Municipality of Chania, the Parish Agia Marina,  the Cultural Association of Ag. Marina “The Theodorou”, the business club Agia Marina and the football club “Granite” Agia Marina
Once again -it is  important to note that the island becomes accessible only for that day.

Date and Time: June 8th

Departure of boats from the second pier of Ag. Marina (behind the pharmacy):
07:00,  first boat and  last one is at 13:00

Return boats to Agia Marina:
the last boat will leave the island at 15:00

NOTE:
Also during the same hours boats will depart from the port of Platanias.

Fee:
ticket for the transportation  to and from the island is 5,00 € , children under 12 years are free.

I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute.
