Manos Hatzidakis, alongside with Mikis Theodorakis, is one of the most outstanding Greek composers.In 1962 he produced the musical Street of Dreams.
In 1960 Hatzidakis became internationally famous for the composition of the film music ‘Never on Sunday’.
The theme song was nominated for the ‘Oscar’ and won the Academy Award for ‘Best Song’.
