How Greece’s financial crisis is affecting disabled people – in pictures

Documentary photographer Graham Miller spent several days living at the Eleni Gyra home for adults who are severely autistic in Zitsa, Greece, in June 2015 to assess the impact of the financial crisis on disabled people.

He found a community where, despite not being paid for periods of up to six months, the ‘educators’ (support workers) continued to give the highest standards of care.

The exhibition, Autism: Hearts of Angels, is at the Birnam Arts centre in Scotland until 31 March.
