Battle of Crete commemorations in Kissamos, Monday 16th May

As part of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Crete, there will be a memorial service TODAY, Monday 16th May, at 18:30

The service will take place at the site of the monument to the fallen, near the Kallergiana junction, and will have the following format:

A roll call of the names of the fallen

Laying of the wreaths

A minute’s silence in memory

A traditional “rizitiko” song from the association “The Kissamos”

Greeting from the Mayor of Kissamos, Mr. Theodori Stathaki

Speech from the Headteacher of the 2nd School of Kissamos, Mr. Michali Bantoudaki
