World Blood Donor Day – Blood donation in Chania 14th June
Every year, on 14th June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.
The Blood Donors’ Association of Agios Ioannis of Chania, on the occasion of this day, is organising the following activities in cooperation with the General Hospital of Chania and the insurance company “INTERAMERICAN”
On Thursday 13th June brochures are distributed in the centre of Chania, by volunteer blood donors, members of the Blood Donor Association.
Blood donation at the Meeting Hall of the City Hall, Municipality Chania, on 14th June from 09:00 until 14:00.
The musician Manos Papadakis (guitar – voice) will be performing at the City Hall entrance from 12:30 to 14:00.
