Christmas tree lighting in Tavronitis – 7th December

Let’s welcome Christmas together!
The Cultural Association of Tavronitis invites you to join the Christmas tree lighting ceremony combined with a range of activities, music and entertainment for young and old, and a Christmas bazaar!
WHEN: Sunday, 7th December, starting time 15.00
WHERE: Square of Tavronitis ( a few meters south of the Taverna ‘Kaneba’, on your left, next to the Microbiology
Laboratory)
The tree lighting will take place at 18.00, after the performance of the Children’s Choir.
You can enjoy hot chocolate, mulled wine, other drinks, souvlaki, hot dog, donuts, and much more !

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
