Musical performance – tribute to Nikos Kavvadia – Kontomari 13th September
The open music collective ALBATROSS presents Nikos Kavvadia’s poems set to music, a musical-narrative tribute to the poet – a journey through his life and writings, framed by the music of great composers that highlights the emotions and images that Kavvadias created through his poems.
A performance that honors the memory and work of one of the greatest poets of Greek literature.

Nikos Kavvadias is perhaps the only poet truly deserving the title “deeply experiential.” He knew the sea better than anyone who ever dared to write it down.
