Exhibition dedicated to Mikis Theodorakis – Galatas until 31st December

An exhibition dedicated to the legendary Mikis Theodorakis (1925–2021) is currently on display in Chania, co-organized by the Music Library of Greece “Lilian Voudouri” and the Association of Friends of Music.
WHEN: until 31st December 2026, every Tuesday from 9.00 to 13.00.
WHERE: Theodorakis Residence /Museum, Galatas
Free entrance.

The exhibition was first presented in 2005 at the Center of Mediterranean Architecture to celebrate the composer’s 80th birthday, under the title Mikis Theodorakis: 80 Years.” It features rare documents and memorabilia from the Mikis Theodorakis Archive and the Music Library of Greece “Lilian Voudouri.” Curated by musicologist Valia Vraka and historian Tasos Sakellaropoulos.

Today, it is presented in the paternal home of Yiannis and Mikis Theodorakis, curated by Lefteris Lambrakis, giving  the opportunity to the community to approach Mikis Theodorakis and his work.
