The Voluntary Association of Professors and Friends “Polydrasi”, in cooperation with the Chania Film Festival, the Region of Crete – Regional Unit of Chania and the Cultural Center of Chania, organizes the screening of the film “Citizen Kane, directed by Orson Wells.
“This is one of the most iconic films in the history of world cinema, the first film directed by Orson Welles and holds the first place in the list of the 100 best films of all time, established by the American Film Institute.”
Citizen Kane (Citizen Kane -1941) is among other things a reference point for photography, music and narrative technique. At the center of the film is the fascinating examination of the human soul and the political and social aspects of its time, a number of topics of timeless importance are touched, although we are talking about a hundred years ago… ” writes Despina Lanou.
