The 10th Chania Film Festival – a celebration of the 9th Art – is ready to lift its curtain on Wednesday, 15thOctober.

OPENING CEREMONY:
Wednesday, 15th October at 19.30 at the Cultural Centre, Papandreou 70, Chania.
21.00 Screening of El Pepe, a Supreme Life (2018)

Most events / sctreenings of the Film Festival take place at the Cultural Center, Papandreou, in Chania, but also at the Venizelio Conservatory and the Chania Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as online through www.chaniafilmfestival.com

About the film festival
The Chania Film Festival is an international festival taking place in October evry year on the island of Crete.

An organization that quickly became an institution with international collaborations, with many parallel events, recognition and acceptance. A cinematographic event that aspires to host the best films in the field of cinema, from all around the world. A meeting place for fiction films, documentary and animation films, as well as directors, producers and actors.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
