CHARITY: Supporting the Cancer Charity ‘ORIZONTAS’ with used books

The Black Lantern Taverna in Maleme supports the Cancer Charity Orizontas (which means Horizons) in Chania with their book shelf sale.
 Each book is €1.
It is a very active charity supporting children and adults with cancer.
If you could take any good condition books to Graham and Ewelina, the owners of the Black Lantern, as they are running short that would be fantastic.
If not there is a donation box on the counter so donations are gratefully received.

There is also a folder with receipts for all the donations made over the past 3 years and a poster on the book shelf with the totals raised over the past three years.

Thank you everyone!

Lydia

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
