The Meλos String Quartet, a vibrant multicultural group, brings together talented musicians with rich backgrounds in both classical and jazz traditions. 
With its name derived from the ancient Greek word for “melody,” the quartet transcends genre boundaries and creates a unique, iconic musical experience. 

With expertise in various styles, they promise to take the audience on a captivating adventure through time, weaving melodies from legendary composers such as Cole Porter, Nino Rota, Astor Piazzolla, Ennio Morricone and Edward Elgar. 

Each performance is a harmonious synthesis of styles, paying homage to timeless music and awakening the spirit of a bygone era through a contemporary perspective.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family,children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And nine years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
