About the Philological Association “Chrysostomos”
This is the oldest spiritual and cultural Association not only in the city of Chania, but also of all Crete. It was founded in 1899, initially  responsible for subjects of general social and educational interest. When the Greek State took over the responsibilities in the educational and social sectors, the Association focused mainly on the spiritual and cultural aspects in Chania.

About the author Giorgos Pratanos:
Giorgos Pratanos was born in Thessaloniki in 1978. He has worked as a journalist for TV stations and magazines. While working on one of his reports he met the family of Patroklos Stavros,Eleni Kazantzaki’s son, who became the stimulus to explore aspects of the life and work of the most important Greek thinker of modern Greece.

I'm Austrian living in Tavronitis, love nature, music, good books, sunsets, the sea, travelling, socializing and more. I came to Crete as a student in the early 70s, exploring the west and southwest of the island with friends by motorbike. When you are young everything is important and, there are lots of things to do...I did. Job, family, children, travelling the world. But I never lost my love for Crete for a minute. And six years ago I ended up in this convenient corner of Crete, not only for holidays, but to stay and haven't regretted it for a minute.
